Endowments can be set up in any donor amount with the purpose to provide support in perpetuity. An endowment fund is a permanent fund in which the spendable amounts are available for the designated purpose. Establishing an endowment gift allows the donor to fulfill their personal philanthropic goals while supporting the mission of Drug Abuse Foundation Palm Beach County.

An Endowment for the Center for Women & Children is an example of an endowment fund specially earmarked to provide to provide Lifesaving Patient Funds to pregnant and postpartum women. This permanently restricted endowment, created exclusively for pregnant and postpartum women battling with addiction and mental wellbeing would be carefully invested and managed for maximum return with minimum risk.

Please join us in giving pregnant and postpartum women and their newborns a chance to encourage, support and facilitate substance free mothers giving birth to substance free babies. The circumstances in which a newborn comes into this world are not the results of any decisions the newborn has made; those decisions are made by their parents and the village in which those parents reside. Our goal is nothing short of disrupting what would be a traumatic beginning of life for a substance involved newborn. This program can dramatically impact the beginning of life experience for a substance involved newborn by facilitating a substance free birth, and having a substance free mom greet and welcome such a newborn into this world.
